Florida Educational Risk Managers Certification
Certified Florida Educational Risk Managers must complete 32 credits of instruction in the following areas:

At least half of the instruction credits must be earned from the Florida Educational Risk Management Association.

Records of instruction and certification shall be the responsibility of the Certification Chairperson.

At least 16 credits of instruction must be attained for re-certification at least every two years.

No credits will be allowed for any instruction received prior to July 1, 1994.

Risk Managers are not required to be certified to do their jobs; however, FERMA certification is provided on a voluntary basis to enhance professional Risk Management skills.

The membership will set the form and guidelines for evaluation of credits earned outside the FERMA organization. This will be evaluated annually at the Summer Conference.

The Member must be in good standing to receive credits and to be certified as a Risk Manager.

Outside Education Credit Form
FERMA Members may request credit for education received outside of FERMA conferences for application towards FERMA certification. Refer to the certification requirements for additional information.
